Daniel Jon van Polanen is an Industrial designer/Interior Architect from New Zealand
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Studies (Majoring in Interior Architecture) and two Post Graduate Diplomas; one in Industrial Design, and the second in Design Innovation.
As an Industrial designer I have a unique design aesthetic with a strong interest in materiality and proportion. I strive to design and create objects that showcase the materials they are made from, recycling disused materials and combining them into new and innovative designs.
As an Interior architect I like the challenge of working with complicated spaces, I enjoy discovering the hidden potential a space has to provide, seeking the best solution to create inspiring rooms that are both functional and visually appealing for the people who use them.
I strive to provide both functionality and a unique user-experience within all of my design outputs.
